Bio
Jordan Perry is a Toronto-based music producer, songwriter, composer, recording artist, drummer and audio engineer with over two decades of experience in the Canadian music industry. Since shifting his primary focus to production in 2013, he has worked with hundreds of artists, songwriters, musicians and producers, bringing a musician's perspective, broad stylistic knowledge and a collaborative approach to every project.
His credits include collaborations with Scott Thomas Robinson (Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Bebe Rexha), Danny Flam (Kanye West), Andrew Joslyn (Kesha, Macklemore), Grammy-winning producer Thomas Juth (Elton John, Luis Fonsi), Dan Konopka (OK Go), and JUNO nominees STORRY and Mahogany Frog.
Among his recent successes is his ongoing production partnership with Canadian comedian and recording artist Farideh (@ilovefarideh). Their collaboration has helped bring Farideh's distinctive brand of feminist, family and motherhood-focused comedy music to a massive online audience. Their biggest song, "The Female Body," has accumulated more than 300 million views across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, alongside over one million Spotify streams. The success reflects the combination of Farideh's sharp, meticulously crafted songwriting and ability to expose systemic injustices through comedy, with Perry's extensive knowledge of musical genres, production styles and recorded music history, allowing him to create arrangements and productions that complement and elevate each song's concept.
Perry's production work has also found success on radio. In 2019, his collaboration with Montreal artist December Rose produced "Raise Your Voice," which reached #8 on New Music Weekly's US AC chart, #4 on the Indie chart and #29 on the US Top 40. Their follow-up, "When We Were Young," spent six consecutive weeks at #1 on the Indie charts across both AC and Top 40 formats, alongside multiple other Top 10 chart placements. His production of Matt Tremblay's "Fast & Slow" also earned several months of regular radio rotation across Canada and chart placements on francophone charts in Canada and France.
Perry's background as a performing musician informs every aspect of his production work. He entered the Canadian music scene in 2004 as the drummer for Montreal technical death metal band Derelict, spending eight years with the group before shifting his primary focus to production. The band went on to receive a Canadian Independent Music Award nomination. Alongside his production work, Perry has built a career as a session and touring drummer, recording musician and live performer. He is also an active singer, songwriter and electronic pop artist, giving him firsthand experience in artist development, songwriting, recording and the demands of live performance.
In 2021, Perry participated in the Songwriters Association of Canada's annual songwriting camp, collaborating with NOA, known for her appearance on CTV's The Launch. He continues to work across genres and disciplines, combining technical expertise, musical versatility and an artist-first approach to help bring creative visions to life.
